Josh Huron signs with Campbellsville University

Former Mason County fullback and outside linebacker Josh Huron signed today to play football at Campbellsville University. Huron says he decided at the start of his senior year that he was not going to play in college. But he changed his mind after playing his senior season and watching some of his teammates sign with colleges. He says he only looked at a couple of schools until Campbellsville University picked him up. Huron says Campbellsville's team looks really physical, the way he likes to play. He says the plan is for him to play outside linebacker for the Tigers. Huron says the Campbellsville coaches also will try him out at tight end.
"They have video of me playing outside linebacker, they don't have video of me playing tight end," Huron said.
Mason County Coach David Buchanan says Huron's signing is more than a pleasant surprise because of the knee injuries he sustained in high school.
"I never dreamed that this would be something that would happen for him," Buchanan said. "But I think he found out he really missed it, he needed to be back on the field. And that's a good thing because he's a very, very good football player."
