The Mason County Lady Royals rallied from one double digit deficit, but couldn't overcome a second one and lost to the Fleming County Lady Panthers 48-39 in Flemingsburg on Wednesday night.
The Lady Royals led 21-20 at halftime, but Fleming County opened the third quarter with an 11-0 run. Mason County rallied with a 12-2 run to tie the game at 33-all. The Lady Panthers answered with a 12-2 run of their own and the Lady Royals would get no closer than eight points.
Ariana Adams scored a game-high 20 points for Fleming County. (13-15).
Amirah Reed led Mason County with 15 points on five 3-pointers.
The Lady Royals ended the regular season with an 11-17 record. They will play Bracken County in the semifinals of the 39th District Tournament on Monday.
The Lady Panthers (13-15) will close out the regular season on Friday night at East Carter.
