News and Notes for a rainy Tuesday

Here are some news and notes for a rainy Tuesday:

• A Mason County football parent/player meeting will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the bleachers of the game field. If it rains, the meeting will be moved to the locker room. Calendars and ruled books will be passed out. 
• The Mason County football team now has an app for your smartphone. The free app is available at the App Store, search for Mason County Football.
• Mason County senior pitcher Darren Williams has verbally committed to Eastern Kentucky University. Mason County coach Tom Posey says a signing ceremony will be scheduled.
• Senior Night for the Mason County baseball team is set for Thursday at 5:15 when the Royals host the Paris Greyhounds. 
• The Royals have won three straight games, seven of their last eight and nine of their last 11.
• The St. Patrick Saints will begin summer basketball with games against Buckhorn and Powell County on May 31 at Buckhorn.
