The Mason County Middle School football teams had spring practice this week. The middle school staff and some of the varsity players conducted the practices for the 6th and 7th graders.
The freshman and varsity coaching staffs worked with the incoming freshmen.
"Our [high school] staff has been real pleased with the new [freshmen]," coach David Buchanan said in an e-mail message. "They work hard, listen, and the talent level is pretty good also."
The middle school spring scrimmage will be held Monday. Buchanan says the incoming freshmen will start around 3:45 p.m. so they can get to baseball. The other players should start around 4 p.m.
