The Mason County Royals are tied for 10th place after the first round of Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All State Championship.
The Royals shot 30-over par at the University Club of Kentucky Big Blue Course and are tied with St. Henry and 12th Region rival Montgomery County.
Jake Feldhaus and Kaden Grooms led Mason County with 6-over 78s. Grant Owens and Logan Shepherd both shot 9-over 81s.
Madison Central leads the tournament at 6-over. St. Xavier is in second place, one-shot back, and Trinity is in third place at 11-over.
The final round will be played on Sunday at the University of Kentucky Wildcat Course.
