Lady Royals tie for 37th place at state meet

The Mason County girls' track and field team finished tied for 37th place at the Class 2A state meet Friday. Highlands won the girls' Class 2A state championship. Covington Catholic is the boys' Class 2A champion. The Mason County girls' 4x100 meter relay team of Andreanna Bennett, Sierra McDaniel, Madison Paver and Katie Redmond took sixth place. McDaniel was ninth in the girls' 100 meter dash. The Mason County boys' 4x200 meter relay team of Seth Adkins, Terrance Breckendridge, Josh Harris and Westin Stahl took fifth place for Mason County's best finish. The 4x100 meter relay team of Adkins, Breckenridge, Brandon Jackson and Malcolm Jones finished sixth. Adkins was eighth in the boys' 200 meter dash. Harris was 10th in the boys' 400 meter dash.
