Mason County 8th Grade Team Made Semis at State

The Mason County boys 8th grade basketball team reached the semi-finals of the state middle school tournament last weekend at the Kentucky Basketball Academy in Lexington. Mason County posted wins over Russellville (67-31), A.B. Combs (40-19) and Union County (47-19) before losing to eventual champion Waynec County 39-34 in the semi-finals. Treg Setty of Mason County was named to the All-Tournament Team. Setty scored 21 points in the win over Russellville.
