Mask no longer required for KHSAA outdoor sports with less than 1,000 attendees

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has lifted the mask/face covering requirement for high school and middle school outdoor sports with less than 1,000 attendees.

The KHSAA lifted the requirement after Governor Andy Beshear announced that the statewide mask mandate will no longer be in effect when Kentuckians are outside at events or venues with 1,000 people or fewer. 

The KHSAA says the change does not apply to any indoor activity in all other KHSAA sports including basketball, wrestling and volleyball.
