Male breaks the KHSAA Sweet 16 record for made 3-pointers in a game set by Mason County

The Male Bulldogs broke the KHSAA Sweet 16 record for made 3-pointers in a game that was set by the Mason County Royals twenty years ago.

Male hit 15 3-pointers in a 94-59 blowout win over Breathitt County in the first round of the UK HealthCare Boys State Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

Mason County made 14 treys in an 86-65 victory over Ballard in the 2003 state championship game.

The Royals hit 13 3-pointers in a 93-66 win over Butler in the first round of the 2002 state tournament.
