The cold and snowy weather the last two days forced the postponement of season openers for the Mason County Royals baseball team and the Mason County and St. Patrick softball teams.
All three teams are now scheduled to open the season on Wednesday when the forecast calls for a high around 50 degrees.
The Royals will travel to Carlise to the play the Nicholas County Bluejackets. The Lady Royals will play the Elliott County Lady Lions in Sandy Hook, and the St. Patrick Lady Saints will be at home against the Fleming County Lady Panthers.
