Chris Lofton scored 21 points as Tennessee clinched its first Southeastern Conference regular season championship since 1967 with an 89-86 win over the Florida Gators in Gainesville last night. It was the Volunteers' school-record 27th win of the season. Lofton was 6-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-8 from three-point range. He made 5-of-6 foul shots. Lofton is tied for third place on the NCAA career three-pointers made list with 413. Tennessee closes out the regular season Sunday at home against South Carolina on Senior Day.
