Adam Sapp named softball coach at Mason Co. High School

Adam Sapp is the new softball coach at Mason County High School. He succeeds Tony Faul who resigned after three seasons. Here is the press release from Mason County High School:

Maysville--- The Mason County Athletic Department is proud to announce the hiring of Adam Sapp as the new Lady Royals Softball coach.  Coach Sapp will meet with his players in the upcoming weeks.

Sapp has recently served as the Middle School softball coach. 

Adam is a 2003 graduate of Mason County High School where he played baseball, golf, and football and served as a manger for our basketball support staff. 

In making the transition, Assistant Athletic Director Jeremy Hawkins said Sapp had the experience and desire that was needed for continue the forward progression of our softball program.

“As an athletic department, we are always searching for a candidate that will represent our school the correct way and work well with our student athletes. Adam Sapp will be that type of coach. Coach Faul worked diligently to grow our softball program and experienced success in doing so. Coach Sapp was quick to express his desire to build on, not just maintain, that forward momentum. His immediate plans are to assemble a coaching staff that will help he and his team do just that.” 

Sapp is very determined to lead the Royals softball program to more success. On why he wanted to take the job, Sapp stated “ Iam very excited for the opportunity to be the new softball coach at Mason County High School. I love the sport of softball and being involved in it. I look forward to building on the success of our program and sharing my passion for the game with the current and future Lady Royals.”
