10th Region Volleyball Coaches Association 2016 Hall of Fame Class

The 10th Region Volleyball Coaches Association has announced its 2016 Hall of Fame Class. 

This year's group includes former players Karlie Smith Sudlow of Bracken County and Brooke Faulkner of Harrison County, and Harrison County coach Bill Faulkner.

Karlie Smith Sudlow- Four-year starter at Bracken County from 2006-2009. She finished her career with 721 kills and 223 blocks, She made the 38th District All-Tournament Team in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She was a member of the All A 10th Region All-Tournament Team in 2008 and 2009. During her career, Bracken County was the district champion in 2006 and All A state qualifier in 2008. She played at Thomas More College and is now an assistant at Bracken County.

Brooke Faulkner- Four-year starter at Harrison County from 2002-2005. She still holds career school records for service aces- 262, digs- 649, kills- 819, and hitting percentage- .339. She was All-Distirct all four years and was the Most Valuable Player in 2003 and 2005. She was named to 10th Region All-Tournament in  2003, 2004 and 2005. Harrison County was 99-36 during her career. She was 2nd Team All-State in basketball her junior and senior seasons and was a Miss Basketball candidate. She played basketball at Western Kentucky and Austin Peay and started in two NCAA tournaments.

Coach Bill Faulkner- He started the Harrison County volleyball program in 2001. He has a career record of 374-183. Harrison County has won 12 district titles and  has advanced to the 10th Region semifinals eight times during his tenure. Under his direction, the Fillies have won 13 regular season tournaments and finished as regular season tournament runners-up 12 times. He has also served as an assistant coach for the football, girls basketball and baseball teams, highlighted by state championships in baseball in 1997 and 1998.
