Whitney O'Mara verbally commits to Bellarmine University

Mason County rising senior Whitney O'Mara has verbally committed to play basketball at Bellarmine University, an NCAA Division II school in Louisville.

O'Mara led the Lady Royals in scoring last season with an average of 11.8 points per game. She shot 45.2% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range. 

Former Mason County standout Shannon Litton is an assistant coach at Bellarmine.
