Lady Royals win, Royals, Lady Saints & Panthers lose in region

The Mason County Lady Royals defeated the Nicholas County Lady Jackets 8-6 in the first round of the 10th Region fast-pitch softball tournament today at Harrison County. The Lady Royals will play the Clark County Lady Cardinals in the semifinals Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The St. Patrick Lady Saints were shutout by the Montgomery County Lady Indians 17-0 in three innings.

In the 10th Region baseball tournament at Bourbon County, the Mason County Royals were blanked by the Scott Eagles 2-0 and the Augusta Panthers were shutout by the Campbell County Camels 24-0 in five innings.
