Royals Use Huge 2nd Half to Defeat Fleming Co. on Senior Night

The Mason County Royals used a big second half to defeat the Fleming County Panthers 85-53 on Senior Night at the Fieldhouse tonight.

The Royals led by nine points early in the second quarter, but trailed 40-38 in the third quarter. Mason County ended the third quarter on a 23-3 run and outscored Fleming County 57-26 in the second half.

Darren Williams had a double-double with a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds. He scored 11 points in the third quarter. Jaylen Lofton scored 15 points and Conner Sweeney added 14 points.

Senior point guard Antwavon "Pig" Williams served the first game of a two-game suspension after being ejected with two technical fouls in Tuesday night's loss to Bishop Brossart.

Mason County will close out the regular season Friday night at home against the Pendleton County Wildcats.
