Augusta pulls away from St. Patrick

The Augusta Panthers held off the upset minded St. Patrick Saints 62-50 tonight in a semifinal game of the boys 39th District tournament.

The Panthers routed the Saints 77-44 on February 12, but they didn't pull away in tonight's game until the closing minutes.

Augusta senior Connor Maddox scored a game-high 24 points. He was 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. Camryn Snapp added 22 points.'

Brennan Bauer led St. Patrick in scoring with 17 points. Ben Swolsky tossed in 10 points.

Augusta, with eight straight wins, advances to the championship game to play the winner of Tuesday night's semifinal game between Mason County and Bracken.
