Lofton Receives UT MVP Male Award

Chris Lofton was named the Most Valuable Player Male Athlete at the University of Tennessee earlier this month. Lofton received the award at the first-ever VOLSCARS, a sports award show modeled after the ESPY's.
According to a UT press release, the Tennessee student-athletes began the evening on the "orange" carpet with media interviews in true Hollywood style, followed by a dinner and awards show.
Lofton led the Tennessee basketball team to the second-most wins in school history (24) and an appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCCA Tournament. Lofton led the Southeastern Conference l in scoring (20.8 ppg) and in 3-pointers per game (3.42). Lofton's 106 3-pointers this season were the second-most in school history and his 313 career 3-pointers rank third in SEC history.
