John Price Now 10th Region Hall of Famer

Fleming County is no longer in the 10th Region but one of the Panthers' all-time greats, John Price, was inducted into the Boys Basketball 10th Region Hall of Fame last week.
Price was a co-captain of Fleming County's 1973 10th Region runner-up team and 1974 10th Region champion team. He scored 1,472 career points, currently third all-time at Fleming County. Price had 672 career rebounds and holds the school record for career assists with 606.
His awards include:
  • 10th Region Player of the Year in 1974
  • One of the top 15 players in Kentucky in 1974
  • All 10th Region in 1973 and 1974
  • Honorable Mention All-State in 1973 and 1974
  • Selected by the Ledger-Independent as one of the top five players at Fleming County since 1970.

During his induction speech, Price said he owed a lot of his Hall of Fame induction to his high school coach, Bob Hall, "because he was a big influence on my life, and the 10th Region has been a big influence on my life. "
